A monograph dedicated to the history of the famous American F6F Hellcat fighter. It presents the development of this design, paint schemes and combat use. All variants and sub-variants of the aircraft are discussed, describing the changes carried out in them. The combat operations section of the publication highlights the impact that the introduction of the F6F fighters on US aircraft carriers had on air operations in the Pacific. The successes of airborne units and the fate of their pilots, including British pilots, are presented. The whole is complemented by tables with technical data and a list of the leading aces flying the Hellcat.
Text in Polish and English, 128 pages, 155 photographs (including 30 colour photos of the museum specimen), 20 sheets of model drawings of the aircraft and engine in scales 1:32 and 1:48, including a list of external changes in the serial versions of the aircraft, 9 pages of colour charts with 29 examples of painting.
