The Mitsubishi G3M is a Japanese twin-engine medium bomber and long-range mid-wing torpedo aircraft from World War II, known under the Allied nickname Nell. The flight of the prototype took place in 1935 and in the same darkness mass production started, which lasted until 1945. and resulted in the production of about 1,050 copies of all versions. Several versions of this aircraft were created, the most important of which are the G3M2 Model 21 and Model 22, which function as a medium sea bomber operating from land bases, and the L3Y1 Model 11, which serves as a transport aircraft. G3M was already used in combat during the fighting in China. He also fought in the Pacific War. The most famous action of these planes was the sinking of the battleships HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Repulsje on December 10, 1941. After 1943, it became primarily a coastal defense aircraft and training aircraft.
