The Porsche Boxster is a German sports roadster passenger car that was first presented to the public in 1996. Its serial production started in the same year and is still going on. It was concentrated in the cities of Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen and Osnabruck in Germany, as well as in Uusikaupunki in Finland.

The Boxster model was designed and put into production to replace the 928 and 968 models in the Porsche commercial offer. The new car differed greatly from its predecessors mainly in terms of the styling, which was clearly inspired by the 550 Spyder. The design of the passenger compartment has also changed. In the first generation of cars, new 6-cylinder engines were also used, generating higher maximum powers (even up to 266 HP), which translated into an improvement in the car's performance. Four generations of the Porsche Boxster were created in the course of production, the last of which was presented in 2016. The Boxster model turned out to be a huge commercial success for Porsche and is one of the best-selling models in the history of the brand!
