ICM 35371 T-34 "Tyagach" Model 1944 Soviet Recovery Machine

The T-34 Tyagach (other designations: T-34-T and TT-34) is a Soviet armored technical support vehicle and tracked tractor from the Second World War. The drive was provided by a single W-2 engine with a power of up to 500 HP. The length of the vehicle was approximately 6 meters and a width of approximately 3 meters. The armament of the vehicle consisted of a single machine gun with a caliber of 7.62 mm. The T-34 Tyagach was in fact a development variant of the T-34 medium tank. The vehicle has been rebuilt primarily as an armored tow vehicle. The same fuselage, engine and virtually all mechanical components as in the serial T-34 were retained, but the turret with the main armament was dismantled. In its place, either an armor plate or a small, armored, stationary superstructure was installed. Vehicles of this type often lacked more specialized technical equipment. On the other hand, they performed well in their role and provided the crew with a decent level of cover. Of course, the T-34 Tyagach vehicles were used primarily during the battles with the Third Reich on the Eastern Front in 1944-1945.
